The Sacraments


Baptisms are made by arrangement and are usually celebrated at 12 noon after the 11am Mass on Sundays.

Parents and Godparents are asked to attend a baptismal meeting which takes place on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30pm. Baptism dates are usually arranged at this meeting.

Confessions take place on Saturdays at 10.45-11.30am & 5.15-5.45pm. Confessions are available at other times by appointment.


First Holy Communion

Children at Our Lady of Lourdes School make their First Holy Communion at ages 7 to 8 in Year 3. If your child is not attending a Catholic school, other arrangements can be made. Please contact Father Sean or the Parish Office for more information. 


Children at Our Lady of Lourdes School are confirmed at ages 10 to 11 in Year 6. If your child does not attend a Catholic school and you wish for them to be confirmed, please contact Father Sean.

If you are an adult and wish to receive the sacraments, please contact Father Sean or the Parish Office for more information.


Congratulations on your forthcoming marriage!

Please contact the Parish Office to discuss when you may be considering getting married.

Couples will need to attend a marriage preparation course led by Marriage Care.

You will also need to arrange a meeting with Father Sean to complete some important paperwork and to receive some information on civil legislation regarding your marriage.

Sacrament of the Sick
If you know someone who is sick and would like to be anointed please contact Father Sean or the Parish Office.

If your relative or friend is in hospital, you may wish to contact the Hospital Chaplaincy team. This sacrament may be received more than once.

Visiting the Sick

Holy Communion can be brought to the sick and housebound by Father Sean, Deacon Tim, the Sisters or Ministers of the Eucharist. Please inform the Parish Office if you, or somebody you know, would like to be visited.
